We design and develop complete embedded and smart-device systems, taking products from early concept through to stable, production-ready solutions. This work spans the full embedded stack: electronics, firmware, device-level software, and system integration. By owning these layers together, we ensure designs are coherent, reliable, and practical to manufacture, deploy, and maintain.

Our Approach

We approach embedded and device development from a system-level perspective, considering electronics, firmware, software, and real-world use as a single, connected whole. Design decisions are made with reliability, manufacturability, and long-term support in mind, rather than optimising isolated components in abstraction.

We work pragmatically and iteratively, validating assumptions early and addressing integration risks before they become costly problems. By maintaining clear technical ownership across disciplines, we deliver embedded products that behave predictably, are easier to evolve, and stand up to real deployment conditions.

Electronics & Hardware Design

We provide electronics design for embedded products, including schematic capture, PCB design, component selection, and prototyping. Designs are developed with real-world constraints in mind, availability, cost, manufacturability, and long-term support, rather than purely theoretical performance.

Where appropriate, designs are reviewed and refined to improve robustness, reduce cost, or resolve issues discovered during field use.

Firmware & Embedded Software

Firmware is developed for reliability, clarity, and long-term maintainability. This includes bare-metal and RTOS-based systems, device drivers, communications stacks, and real-time control logic.

Particular attention is paid to fault handling, diagnostics, and predictable behaviour, areas that are often critical once devices move beyond prototypes into real deployment.

Smart Devices, IoT & Edge Systems

We work on connected and standalone devices, including smart products, IoT systems, and edge devices. This includes device communications, configuration, update strategies, and integration with higher-level software or services.

The emphasis is on building devices that operate reliably over time, not just in controlled development environments.

System Integration & Production Readiness

Embedded products rarely fail because of a single component; problems typically arise at system boundaries. We focus on integration across hardware, firmware, and software to identify and resolve issues early.

This includes preparing designs for manufacture, supporting early production runs, and addressing problems uncovered during deployment or scale-up.
